Does your hair seem to soak up products like a thirsty teenager after football practice? I’d like to suggest adding the Almocado CocoCurl Moisture cream to your regime.
Organic Cocoa Butter is one of the most occlusive natural ingredients available. It helps prevent TEWL (transepidural water loss) which means it locks in moisture like a boss! This makes our Coco Curl, the perfect moisturising cream for thirsty multi-textured hair.
This non-greasy cream that wraps each strand in a nourishing blanket of organic ingredients for soft, protected and moisturised hair. Coco Curl is hand blended and specially formulated to deliver the right balance of moisture, protein, nutrients and LOVE, leaving you with delightfully bouncy, soft curls.
Try it this way to use is as part of your LCO method:
Start with the Silk Spritz (L), then apply CocoCurl (C). Once your strands are protected and you’re happy with the level of moisture you can further seal in all the goodness with a light coating of organic oils (like Coco Monoi) or a layer of our delightful organic Buttermelt (O).

I was challenged to create this product by the beautiful vlogger HuntressLocs, who is a fan of Almocado products and wanted a lighter version of what used to be known as the ‘Luscious Lecithin Leave-in’.
So with Sisterlocks, Microlocs and interlocked hair in mind, I set about creating a formula that would impart moisture without weight; feel silky but not sticky and give locked hair a light hydrating replenishing treatment.
Not only has this product been a hit with locked hair, it’s loved by multiracial textures because it imparts silky moisture while retaining the natural bounce.
Meadowfoam seed oil is formed of long-chain fatty acids which make it super moisturising but non-greasy, it adheres to the hair shaft, adds shine and contains some antioxidants. Blended into this is Argan oil – also known as ‘liquid gold’ used by Moroccan women for healthy and vibrant hair. This leave in conditioner also helps reduce breakage by keeping your strands hydrated.
As part of our 8th anniversary celebration we’re offering 10% plus 8% i.e. a whopping 18% off this product of the day until midnight on April 12th 2018. Just enter code “8YEARS” at the checkout.
I then applied the Triple Whipped Intense Conditioner liberally to her ends and worked it through each section, gently detangling with my fingers until her entire head was completed. I really like this conditioner because it’s blended with organic Castor oil, Coconut Oil and Avocado oil that work together to soften the hair and the combination makes detangling so easy for us.
Finger detangling has been working for us in terms of length retention and reducing breakage because using my fingers gently and patiently helps prevent ripping and tearing. I’ve also found that using my fingers to fan through the tangles at the ends (using a similar motion as to that of playing a harp) leaves her with fewer split and uneven ends.
I left the conditioner in her hair while she jumped on the trampoline and chased butterflies, the heat from the sun helps the conditioner better penetrate her hair strands. The photo mosaic below shows the conditioner immediately after application (top two) versus after half hour in the sun (bottom two).
When I had rinsed out the conditioner, I found her hair felt moisturised – like I could literally feel it in her hair – which meant that I didn’t need to apply loads of butters or treatments afterwards.
I simply applied a light coating of our Cocomonoi Joy oil to seal in the moisture before the sun dried it out too much, and I began banding her hair for the week ahead.
